Quilt Information
Quilts & Vines Show Criteria
• No entry fee.
• Each person may submit up to 5 quilts.
• Quilts are welcome from people of all ages.
• A Quilt Pre-Registration Form needs to be submitted by July 31, 2008 describing each quilt being submitted into the Quilts & Vines show.
• Each exhibitor must agree that they have read and understand the terms and conditions of displaying a quilt.

Definition of a Quilt:
A quilt is two layers of fabric with a filling that is stitched together with lines or a pattern. Quilting must be done by hand or machine. Tied quilts do not meet the definition of a quilt for this show. "Raggedy" quilts and quilts made from predominantly pre-printed panels (cheater fabric) are not accepted in the show.
Size:
There are no restrictions for the quilt sizes. Stuffed animals, pillow cases, etc. cannot be accepted with any quilts.
Label:
Quilts should have a fabric label stitched to the back of each quilt, at or near a bottom corner. The label should include the quilt name, the exhibitor's name and year completed.
OPTIONAL Backdrop Sheet:
Since quilts will be either draped along the actual grape vines or hung by cables through rod pockets, a bed sheet or muslin may accompany each quilt. Please baste or safety pin the sheet to the back of the quilt below the rod pocket. This is not required, but recommended to keep dust off the back of the quilt.
Limitations:
Each exhibitor may enter maximum of 5 quilts in the show. All 5 of the quilts may be for sale.
Claim Check:
A Claim Check will be issued when quilts are delivered or will be held on file for quilts that are shipped to us. You must have your claim check to pick up your quilt.
Sale Quilts:
You are welcome to offer your shown quilt(s) for sale. A photo must be attached to the Quilt Pre-Registration Form if it is to be marked FOR SALE. The purchaser will provide a check for the total amount made out to the sellers name. A check of 20% of the total selling price is required by the seller made out to Project Linus to receive payment. Payments can be picked up from Heirloom Creations anytime after Monday, August 11, 2008.
FOR SALE Sign:
Please click on the link at the top of the page to print off a "FOR SALE" tag for each quilt that will be up for sale.
Insurance:
In the very unlikely event that a quilt is damaged or lost, Quilts & Vines cannot be held responsible. Insurance is the responsibility of the quilter/owner. It is recommended that quilts be included on the individual's homeowners policy.
Photography:
Quilts may be photographed by show attendees and the media, but may not be used for commercial purposes. Submission of a quilt to the Quilts & Vines constitutes permission by the quilter/owner to allow it to be photographed.
Quilt Identification Form:
Please print one Quilt Identification Form for EACH submitted quilt (up to 5 quilts). Please print the information with a Sharpie Marker. Attach each form to the lower right front corner of each quilt with safety pins. Bring quilts folded with Quilt ID form on top between the dates of Monday, August 4 and Friday, August 8, 2008. A number will be assigned to each quilt upon its arrival and a claim form of all your quilts will be given to you.
Liability Release:
Each exhibitor must sign the Liability Release on each quilt registration. We request a parent sign on behalf of an entrant under the age of 18. Quilts in the Quilts & Vines quilt show are hung outdoors. It is recommended that quilts be insured under your own home owner’s policy.
Quilt Delivery:
In Person – Quilts may be delivered to Heirloom Creations beginning Monday, August 4th through Friday, August 8, 2008, between 9:30am and 6:00 pm daily.

Quilts may be shipped to arrive the week of Monday, August 4th

Quilt Return:
Pick Up Dates and Times: Due to the large number of quilts to be retrieved, re-folded and sorted Saturday evening, quilts will be transported to Heirloom Creation for pick up. Quilts may be picked up between Monday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 13 from 9:30am to 6:00pm
Return Shipping:
If you would like quilts shipped back to you, please include $10 for each quilt to cover shipping costs.
